FertilityIQ: Trans Women and Fertility

From planning for fertility before transition to advocating for yourself in the fertility doctor’s office to supporting your family once you form it.

Trans Fertility Co.’s Trystan Reese partnered with Family Equality and FertilityIQ to create this innovative video series on trans fertility. The aim was to empower transgender women and non-binary people assigned male at birth get the information they need on their journeys to parenthood.

Drawn from dozens of medical and academic studies as well as personal experiences, this FertilityIQ project covers a wide variety of topics related to trans fertility—including understanding how hormones impact fertility, when and how to preserve your fertility if you’re going to transition, and how to get emotional support throughout your family-building process. You’ll hear from two transgender women who went through fertility processes, each sharing unique but totally relatable personal stories. There are also resources on how to advocate for yourself and build resiliency when dealing with hardships related to the family-building process.
